So it turns out that there's more to launching a webcomic than drive and talent. There's also the pesky matter of registering a domain name, securing hosting, and -- oh yeah -- having an idea. Jeph Jacques of Questionable Content has written a step-by-step guide to starting a webcomic, focusing largely on practical points like building a website, choosing an update schedule, and connecting with other creators. It's good to see him note, however, that luck still plays a huge role in whether a comic ultimately finds a sizable audience.
